Every Uson RFID tag information system has a unique electronic label design to support users' requirements for monitoring parts' leak test data.
These application-specific radio technology solutions provide companies with an ability to track leak tested inventory throughout the manufacturing process, supply chain and even to verify delivery of defect-free products to the end-user consumer.
RFID chip software is programmed to record the desired leak testing and other manufacturing data, such as:
- Part number
- Serial Number
- Lot number
- Production line and/or plant location
- Date of manufacture
- Expiry data
- Part size
- Part shape
- Part color
- Leak Detector pressure during parts testing
- Leak rate determined during leak testing
- Flow rates identified by leak detection equipment
- Part dimensions -length, height
- Part weight
- Torque
- Performance data
- More specifications required for particular applications
Each data set is stored in small locations of the custom RFID tags. The RFID reader and custom software uses a three-step process to code:
1) Writing desired data to specific locations on the RFID tag
2) Antenna powered at UHF frequency to read the stored data
3) Communication with database to validate that the part tested meets performance requirements
Failed parts are labeled as defective on the RFID tag such that defective parts can be readily segregated from products released to the marketplace.
