Sprint mD Leak Tester Debuts A3 Network
The engineers at Uson continue to push the boundary with new features for the SprintmD to make the leak tester even more versatile and valuable. Their latest innovation has been the introduction of Advanced Authorization & Authentication or A3 network protocol.
This new feature is the most comprehensive leak tester security / user authentication software option available.
Now users of SprintmD in heavily regulated industries such as medical device manufacturing can buy SprintmD with the A3 network option which greatly enhances user control and data security to assist compliance with 21CFR11, for example.
The security features are available in three levels; Disabled offers abasic security level with limited features. The next level, Local, provides additional features and is adminstered at the machine level. The Network level requires configuration by a network administrator.
By default A3 is disabled but users can select the option as part of the software license which unlocks unlimited user types, each with configurable authority limits and flexible password policy. It also installs a comprehensive audit trail which will record event such as calibration, program parameter changes, operator changes, password changes and any other assigned events.
Also in the A3 feature is database import and export, permitting the administrator to export the program database to a USB drive or network location through the use of the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP).
The set up of the LDAP is controlled by the network administrator using WindowsTM active directory services.
All in all, the new A3 feature adds another dimension in security to a leak tester that is already popular in industries that must show diligence in the control of critical leak testing.
